Shaw and Partners WA Race Week

Oceanpaddler is excited to announce the upcoming Shaw and Partners WA Race Week, set to take place in Perth, Western Australia. This thrilling week-long series of events promises to be the highlight of the surf ski racing calendar in the region. With generous sponsorship from the City of Joondalup, participants can look forward to 5 exciting races throughout the week.

The pinnacle event, known as 'The Doctor', is scheduled for Saturday 25th November 2023, with an earlier start time this year. Competitors must ensure they are checked in on Rottnest Island by 10 am, the starting point for the race. Transportation options for craft to the island include arrangements through the Oceanpaddler barge, ferry services, or private transport. Competitors will need to organise their own transport to Rottnest Island on race day.

A total of $180,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs during the Shaw and Partners WA Race Week, including a variety of races such as the Fenn West Coast Downwinder, Dr Benjamin Hewitt Sunset Surfski Series Race #2 and #3, Shaw and Partners Dash for Cash, and Shaw and Partners Doctor Race One Hot Spot. Additional bonus prize money is also available throughout the week, with the event program subject to updates.

The Shaw and Partners WA Race Week is part of the Shaw and Partners Australian Ocean Racing Series, with champions crowned across different categories. Each event within the race week is organised by different entities, with more information available on their respective websites. To be eligible for the 'Win a Ski and Paddle a Day in WA' giveaway, participants must compete in all applicable races for their category, with 7 Skis & Paddles up for grabs.
