Discover the enriching world of Shaolin Chu Kung-Fu at the IISc Branch in Bangalore, where tradition meets modernity in a vibrant martial arts community. Founded 32 years ago by Grand Master Win-Chu, this esteemed Kung Fu school offers classes right in the heart of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) campus, alongside other locations throughout Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
This unique academy opens its doors to all ages and skill levels, requiring no prior experience to join. Whether a curious beginner or an aspiring martial artist, everyone is welcome to start their journey at the beginning of each month. Classes are held three times a week—on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings—offering an invigorating start to the day.
At the IISc Kung-Fu court near the Basketball ground, the club provides every piece of essential equipment, ensuring a safe and comprehensive training environment. From mats and protective pads to gymnastics gear, all details are thoughtfully taken care of. Skill development is structured, with biannual Belt grading exams and an annual self-defense workshop for women, typically held in October.
Guided by the experienced Master Stephen Kumar, students not only learn Kung Fu but also imbibe values of discipline, resilience, and community spirit. The club aims to foster a sense of camaraderie while representing IISc at various competitive levels.
