In April 2010, Kelly Gillings took over as the owner of the school, having started as an instructor in 1999. Her mission is to maintain and build on the excellent standards the school has acquired throughout its successful history.
The school provides lessons at Llangatwg Comprehensive School for over 600 pupils. They offer a wide range of classes, from Splash classes for parents and babies to Advanced classes for more experienced swimmers. The classes are divided into small groups of appropriately matched children by age and ability, ensuring that each student can progress at their own pace. With a team of 40+ members of staff, the school puts an emphasis on continual monitoring and individualised attention to facilitate student progress.
The staff at Sensitive Water Solutions Swim School LTD hold various qualifications, including Lifesaving certificates, STA Basic Certificates, and some staff members have obtained the STA Full Certificate. The school also has qualified staff members who train new instructors, maintaining the high standards of the school. Regular training and updates are provided to ensure that staff qualifications are up-to-date and that they are knowledgeable about the latest first aid and safety procedures. All staff members are also subject to the Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS.
