Sensei Roman Nasirov's Karate school in Ottawa offers a complete martial arts program that focuses on self-defence, Karate art, and tactical Karate. The school is led by Shihan Roman Nasirov, an expert in the field with an 8th Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kyokushinkai Karate.
Shotokan Karate, the most traditional style of Karate, is the primary focus of the school's teachings. Developed by Gichin Funakoshi and his son Gigo Funakoshi, Shotokan Karate is known for its influence on the development of university karate clubs and martial arts practices worldwide. Students at Sensei Roman Nasirov's school benefit from a traditional and influential form of karate do.
Sensei Roman Nasirov's journey in martial arts began at a young age in Moscow, Russia, where he excelled in sprinting and later discovered Kyokushinkai Karate. His passion for Karate led him to continue practising and eventually transitioning to Shotokan Karate, earning his 3rd Dan Black Belt in a short time frame.
Throughout his career, Sensei Roman Nasirov has made significant contributions to the world of Karate, earning recognition for his skills and dedication. His journey includes meeting and learning from renowned Japanese master Hirokazu Kanazawa, who awarded him his 4th Dan Black Belt during an international Karate seminar in Moscow. Sensei Nasirov also had the opportunity to teach Karate in Japan, where he further honed his skills and received his 5th Dan from Hirokazu Kanazawa.
In addition to his accomplishments in Karate, Sensei Roman Nasirov's school in Ottawa is known for its welcoming and inclusive environment, offering programs for both kids and adults to participate and learn together. With a limited class size of 15 persons per class due to COVID-19 safety measures, the school ensures a focused and personalized learning experience for all students.
