Welcome to the Segelschule Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance! Established in 1973, our sailing and motorboat school is nestled on the picturesque Halbinsel Höri on the Untersee of Lake Constance. Owner Niklas Reckert is a licensed sailing and motorboat instructor with international training experience, dedicated to teaching students on the Bodensee for many years. Our aim is to ensure that you can confidently navigate the Bodensee and other inland and sea waters after your training. Our trained team provides comprehensive theoretical and practical preparation for the Bodenseeschifferpatent exams. Equipped with our own classroom for theory instruction, our training boats are located within walking distance at our private dock. Our Educational Offerings: Bodenseeschifferpatent A (Motor) The Bodenseeschifferpatent A is essential for operating motorboats on Lake Constance. Our motorboat training covers all the knots and maneuvers required for the exam, along with navigation instruction. Minimum age: 18 years Information & Booking Sail and Motorboat Combined Course Our combination course of sail and motorboat training is ideal if you plan to navigate a sailboat with an additional auxiliary motor in the future. This course comprises motorboat sessions and sailing lessons, ensuring you're prepared for both exams within a week. Minimum age: 18 years Information & Booking Sports Boat License In the mood for the sea? With the Sports Boat License (SBF-See), you're permitted to operate a motorboat on international saltwaters. Our SBF-See weekend courses cover theory, navigation tasks, and can include practical training. Minimum age: 16 years Information & Booking Bodenseeschifferpatent D (Sailing) The Bodenseeschifferpatent D allows sailing boat operation on Lake Constance. Delivered through week-long full-day courses in small groups aboard a boat, you'll learn the sail maneuvers required for the exam. Minimum age: 14 years Information & Booking Children and Youth Sailing Each season, we offer week-long children and youth sailing programs during the Pentecost and summer holidays. Supervised in small groups, our youth discover the world of sailing and gain initial on-water experience. Minimum age: 8 years Information & Booking Sail and Motorboat Charter Become the captain of your own adventure and explore the Untersee independently with our sail and motorboat charters. These boats, with capacity for up to six passengers and equipped with an electric motor, can be supplemented with a skipper upon request.
