South Wallsend Junior Soccer Club is excited to announce the start of the interdistrict all age men and O35s soccer season. The season will kick off on the weekend of April 26th-28th, 2024. Please note that the draw will only be made available sometime in April, so stay tuned for further updates.
For senior players, there will be a sign-on event at Hotel Elermore on Croudace Road, Elermore Vale. The sign-on period will take place from February 3rd to February 10th, 2024. To complete your registration, you need to register online and upload a passport size photo. Additionally, players are required to attend one of the sign-on days to pay the registration fees if not already paid online.
If you're experiencing any difficulties with the registration process, feel free to visit on one of the registration information days for assistance. The club wants to make sure everyone has a chance to participate.
Registration fees for the 2024 interdistrict seniors and O35 age group are $250. There is an option to pay in full or by instalments. The first instalment is $125, and the second instalment is also $125. There is also a family discount available, where the first player in a family pays the full amount, and each additional family member receives a $10 discount.
Please note that seniors registering to play in all age men/women's or O35s teams must have at least nine players from their team who have paid the minimum $250 instalment for the registration to be accepted.
Payment methods include cash, cheque, EFTPOS directly to the club, or online at Greater Bank (BSB 000 780, Account 365 560, South Wallsend Junior Soccer Club Players Name). Please ensure all amounts are paid in full to activate your registration.
If you receive a tax invoice by email, please note that it is not a receipt. Online payments will receive a receipt notification, but offline payments made directly will be issued a handwritten receipt. The balance of fees must be finalised before March 6th, 2024. If there are any financial difficulties, please contact the club to discuss a payment arrangement. Additionally, any players with outstanding fees from the previous season will need to pay the amount owing before their 2024 registration can be accepted.
Passport size photos are required for every senior player to complete the online registration. These photos will be used by the team manager each week throughout the season. Please note that the club secretary will review all photos before the start of round 1, and if photos do not meet the standards, players will be contacted to make the necessary changes. The photo should be a headshot of the player without hats, sunglasses, or anyone else in the frame. For teams who have already organised themselves, the nominated manager is requested to provide a list of names to the club to assist with team allocations.
Training for winter will begin on April 1st, 2024. However, any use of the grounds prior to this date requires a special application. The official start of the season is scheduled for the end of April, so MiniRoos, interdistrict, and senior O35s teams will not be permitted to start training until the club provides a start date. During muster night, teams will have the opportunity to provide their training day/time preferences. Once allocations are completed, the club will notify coaches and managers of their allocated day/time/field space and start date.
Playing shirts will be provided to coaches/managers before the season begins. These shirts remain the property of the club and should not be taken home by players. Shorts, socks, and other merchandise will be available for purchase before and during the season. You can make online purchases via the club's Facebook page, website, or TeamApp.
Please note that the grounds at Elermore Vale Park (Walker Fields) are currently under the control of the summer licence holder, the Newcastle Cricket Association.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. South Wallsend Junior Soccer Club looks forward to a fantastic season!
