Welcome to Scruton Cricket Club, a friendly and well-run cricket club nestled in North Yorkshire. Organiser Ian Place wants to extend a warm welcome to everyone in the sports community. Scruton competes in the Wensleydale Evening Cricket League, playing matches on Wednesday evenings. The club is renowned for its excellent facilities, including a pavilion, covers, sight screens, and an artificial practice wicket. The “Long Room” museum at the club offers a fascinating glimpse into its history and a terrific view of the playing area.
Ian Place and the club welcome new players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned cricketer or just starting out, Scruton Cricket Club is a great place to play and enjoy cricket. Since 2017, the club has proudly partnered with Sam Turner & Sons, a local independent store specialising in farming, gardening, and country clothing, with locations in Northallerton, Stokesley, Leyburn, and Piercebridge.

The pavilion at Scruton Cricket Club is considered one of the best in village cricket. The “Long Room” museum on the first floor not only offers a rich collection of cricket memorabilia but also provides a wonderful vantage point to watch the matches. The wicket, prepared with care by John Stubbs and Geoff Bell, is always in top condition.
