Scottish Squash Rackets Club (SSRC) in Glasgow is a renowned and historic club that offers exceptional facilities and an inclusive atmosphere for squash and racketball enthusiasts. With a rich heritage, SSRC is the oldest private members squash club in Scotland and is considered the best in the west.

The club boasts four recently refurbished squash courts, which are bright and warm, ensuring a comfortable playing environment. These courts are named with a touch of Scottish charm: Scallywag, Big Peat, Timorous Beastie, and The Epicurean.

SSRC offers various training sessions for players of all levels, with weekly sessions held every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Whether you are a professional squash player or a beginner looking to improve your skills, SSRC provides an inclusive space for everyone to enjoy the sport.

Members can easily book courts online using the SporytyHQ platform, with bookings available up to two weeks in advance. The court cost is presently 4. 00 per hour, shared among the players. To operate the lighting and heating on the courts, members can conveniently pay using coin-operated metres.

SSRC also organises engaging activities to foster a sense of community among its members. Mini-leagues, also known as Box Leagues, are open to all members and offer an excellent opportunity to meet and engage with fellow players. Players of similar skill levels are matched to ensure competitive games and facilitate skill development.

For those interested in participating in more competitive play, SSRC fields six Gents/Open teams and one Ladies team in the West of Scotland squash leagues. Additionally, the club actively supports Racketball/Squash57, offering opportunities for players to engage in these sports as well. SSRC provides a quality Table Tennis table for members to enjoy, and a Table Tennis mini-league further encourages friendly competition.

SSRC is committed to welcoming players of all skill levels and aims to enhance both their standard of play and overall fitness. Through their relationship with the Scottish Squash Association, SSRC has hosted esteemed high-ranking events. The club offers free coaching sessions every Thursday night, ideal for beginners to intermediate players looking to develop their skills.
