Scotchman's Creek Golf Club is excited to announce a local Golf event that is sure to pique the interest of golf enthusiasts in Malvern East and beyond. This special event is a wonderful opportunity for players to showcase their skills and enjoy a fantastic day out on the greens.
To be a part of this exciting event, interested players are encouraged to consider becoming a member of Scotchman's Creek Golf Club. The process couldn't be easier – simply reach out to the club or pay a visit to the Malvern Valley Golf Course on Tuesday at midday or Friday morning. This will allow you to have a friendly chat with current members and get a feel for the vibrant atmosphere of our club.
Becoming a member involves a few simple steps. Start by downloading and completing the Membership Application form, available on the Scotchman's Creek Golf Club website or by contacting the Secretary. Next, send the completed form to the Secretary's address at 69 Blackwood St, Carnegie 3163. The Secretary will then be in touch to discuss your application and offer any assistance you may need during the joining process.
Please bear in mind that all applicants, regardless of whether they already have an official handicap or not, are expected to meet our club's golf standard requirements before being admitted as members. Golfers with an official Golflink handicap will need to complete one round with the Captain or the Captain's representative in our club's “competition of the day.” On the other hand, applicants without an official handicap will need to complete three rounds in the “competition of the day” and have their first card marked by a member of the General Committee or the Match Committee.
Once you have successfully been accepted as a member, there are a couple of fees to take care of. First, there is a one-time joining fee of $25.00. Additionally, you will need to pay the annual membership fee. At present, the annual membership fee is $160 for our esteemed 18-hole Members. For those who prefer 9-hole rounds, the good news is you won't have to pay for the MiClub scoring system or the Donor prize levy. However, please note that you will be required to pay the VGL/GV/GA Affiliation fee.
