Welcome to School Of Arts Academy Of Dance, the longest Established dance school in Bondi with over 30 years of experience. At School Of Arts Academy Of Dance, we offer a range of dance styles including RAD ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary for students aged 3 and over.
Under the guidance of our director, Mishelle Robinson, our teaching philosophy focuses on providing individual attention, instilling discipline, and creating a sense of achievement and self-esteem in each child. We believe in fostering a love for dance, whether your child is dancing for fun or pursuing it more seriously.
One of the highlights of being a student at our academy is the opportunity to perform locally each year. We believe in giving back to our community while helping our students build self-esteem. Mishelle specialises in the RAD syllabus and ensures that our students have the chance to enter RAD examinations. Her expertise in precise ballet technique has seen our students achieving distinctions on a regular basis.
However, our school is not solely focused on the RAD syllabus. Mishelle has carefully chosen capable and experienced teachers who not only have excellent qualifications but also enhance our teaching philosophy across all styles of classes. At School Of Arts Academy Of Dance, we pride ourselves on being a community-based dance school where friendships are strengthened through a shared passion for dance.
Our classes start from as young as 3 years old, with our popular Budding Ballerinas class. This class introduces young dancers to rhythm, co-ordination, mime, and a love of music. From Primary Grade onwards, students are given the opportunity to participate in RAD Exams and Assessments, providing them with a goal to strive for and a great sense of achievement.
In addition to ballet, we also offer jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip-hop classes for children. These classes not only provide great fun but also improve fitness, flexibility, and social skills. We highly recommend taking jazz classes in conjunction with classical classes to gain a basic technical background, which greatly enhances dance performance. Contemporary classes are available for students in grade 2 and up, while hip hop classes are open to primary school students and above.
