Located at Saxtead School House on Church Road in Saxtead, Suffolk, Saxtead School Of Dance has been a staple in the dance community since its establishment in 1995 by Sandra Hartley and Pauline Stephens. What started with just two Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) classes has now blossomed into a vibrant dance school offering a wide range of disciplines.
Over the years, Saxtead School Of Dance has expanded its repertoire to include ISTD modern and tap lessons alongside ballet. And let's not forget about the other exciting classes such as jazz, ballroom, yoga, keep-fit, and 'Tappytots'! With locations in Saxtead, Hoxne, Eye, and Debenham, there's always a class nearby for you to join.
2021 has brought about a new chapter for Saxtead School Of Dance, as the school has made the decision to become a dedicated ballet school. With a focus on ballet, the school now offers an impressive 26 ballet classes per week, following the esteemed RAD syllabus. And let's not forget about the recent changes due to Sandra Hartley's semi-retirement. While she continues to teach Grade 7 to Advanced 2 levels and provides private lessons by arrangement, the ballet classes up to RAD Grade 4 have been relocated to the sister school, Angela Rowe School of Dance.
