Checks, and are experienced in teaching children of all abilities. We believe in creating a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and enjoy swimming.
At SAS Swimming, we offer children's swimming lessons for ages 4 years and onwards. We understand the importance of starting swimming lessons at a young age, which is why we accept children as young as 3 years 6 months. Whether your child is a non-swimmer or an advanced swimmer, we have lessons that cater to all abilities. Our lessons are designed to be fun and progressive, providing a great starting block and a skill for life.
We currently have two venues in Cambridge where we conduct our swimming lessons. The first venue is the Linton Granta School Pool, located on Cambridge Road in Linton. This pool is ideal for teaching non-swimmers and for those looking to further develop their swimming skills.
Our second venue is The Windmill Hydrotherapy Pool, situated on Hinton Road in Fulbourn. This pool is perfect for non-swimmers from 3 1/2 years old to improvers. Both venues offer excellent facilities and a welcoming environment for our swimmers.
We pride ourselves on maintaining small class sizes, with only 5 to 6 pupils per group. This allows our instructors to give each child personalised attention and focus on their individual progress. We offer lessons in half-hour blocks, both after school and on weekends, to accommodate different schedules.
Safety is of utmost importance to us, which is why non-swimmers and weak swimmers have a teacher in the water with them. This ensures that every child feels safe and supported as they learn to swim. Our instructors are fully qualified ASA teachers with life-saving awards, police checks, and years of experience working with children.
We run our swimming lessons alongside the school terms, ensuring a consistent and structured learning environment. As children progress through our groups, we dedicate more time to stroke technique and building stamina. Our goal is to teach as many children as possible the life-saving skill of swimming, while making sure they have fun and enjoy their lessons.
