Brett Millard wants to extend a warm hello to everyone in the sports community! As the Bookings & Special Events Administrator over at Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. (SSCI), Brett is excited to share some updates and reminders about the fantastic facilities available for all your sports and event needs.
SSCI, which Brett helps to manage, oversees two top-notch centres: the Saskatoon Sports Centre at 150 Nelson Road and the Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre at 219 Primrose Drive. These places aren't just about soccer – they’ve got indoor and outdoor fields, hardcourt surfaces, beach courts, meeting rooms, plus cool amenities like a pub, cafeteria, and walking track.
Since way back in 1993, SSCI has been doing amazing work as a non-profit, pushing the growth of not just soccer, but all sorts of sports in the local area. Having over 1.4 million visitors each year, Brett and the team host events for soccer, volleyball, ball hockey, ultimate disk, football, baseball, roller derby, rugby, lacrosse, and much more. They also open doors for cultural and special events, making these centres real community hubs.
Need a field? They’ve got rentals for sports teams, leagues, tournaments, and special events, with a variety of options like indoor turf, hardcourt surfaces, and outdoor fields. There are even meeting rooms for rent, perfect for meetings, tournament HQs, and other events. The rates depend on the field type and season, so there are plenty of choices to fit your needs.
SSCI’s success wouldn’t be possible without partnerships with the City of Saskatoon, the Saskatoon Public School Board, and other local organizations.
