Welcome to Samurai Judo Club, located in Kidderminster, NZ. This Judo school is dedicated to fostering a love for the sport and providing a safe and inclusive environment for practitioners of all ages. Conveniently situated on Zortech Avenue, the club welcomes both beginners and experienced judo enthusiasts.
With an array of sessions throughout the week, Samurai Judo Club offers something for everyone. On Mondays, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, orange and yellow belt practitioners can benefit from Andrew's expertise. During this time, parents and adults can also enjoy some fun in the bouncy castle supervised by Stu.
Tuesdays see Stu coaching senior beginners and low grades from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by Mark instructing junior beginners and low grades from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Higher-grade parents and adults can join Matt (Dutton) for a session from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Thursday's sessions are dedicated to youth and senior experienced players, led by Andrew. Friday evenings are reserved for red to orange belts and special needs students, with Ali, Mark, and Olivia providing guidance and support. Sundays, which are subject to change or cancellation due to events, offer a session for senior beginners and low grades coached by Stu from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Each session at Samurai Judo Club is tailored to suit different levels of expertise and aspirations. Monday's parents/seniors session encourages a gentle learning pace and allows participants to progress at their own speed. Stu's senior sessions on Tuesdays are more suited for younger and more competitive seniors, often involving intense randori practise. Thursday's session focuses more on drills and coaching, while still providing a significant workout.
For those interested in joining the club, beginners aged under 12 can attend the Friday U8 or red belt sessions. Ages 12-15 require arrangements made with Andrew, and individuals aged 16 and above can choose between Matthew's class on Mondays or Stu's classes on Tuesdays or Sundays, based on their age and intent. Samurai Judo Club is a registered charity that caters to individuals of all ages, from 6 to 70, who have an interest in judo. The club has a diverse membership, including competitive and recreational players. Additionally, our club boasts some highest-level referees and competition organisers in Great Britain.
