One of their most popular charters is the 8-hour fishing charter, available year-round. This charter allows for a variety of fishing techniques and ample time to reel in the perfect catch. The crew may take you offshore to target species such as Blue Fin Tuna, Shark (Gummy, School, and Mako), Yellowtail Kingfish, as well as reef species like Snapper, Morwong, and Nannygai. The cost is $350 per person, or you can opt for a private boat charter.

Private boat charters cost $2,100 on weekdays (up to 8 people) and $2,400 on weekends (up to 8 people). Please note that this charter is not recommended for children under 12 years old.

For those looking for a unique experience, Salty Dog Charters offers 3-hour private eco tours to Lady Julia Percy Island. This island, located 22 km from Port Fairy, is home to the largest breeding colony of Australian Fur Seals in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting an estimated 27,000 seals. The tour also offers opportunities to spot seabirds, dolphins, sharks, and even whales. Private boat charters for the eco tour cost $1,200 (up to 8 people) and are available year-round upon request.

However, this tour is also not recommended for children under 12 years old.

For same day or next day bookings, it is recommended to call as soon as possible. A confirmed meeting point will be provided a couple of days before your charter.

When preparing for your charter, don't forget to bring your Victorian Fishing Licence, food and drink, warm clothing, non-slip footwear, and any required seasickness tablets. It is also recommended to bring an esky in the trunk of your car to bring your catch home. Salty Dog Charters will clean your catch for you, so all you have to do is enjoy your freshly caught fish.
