About

Sakura Karate Club – KOBE OSAKA, located in Bayswater North, Melbourne, is a renowned Karate club dedicated to helping individuals become strong and well-connected students through martial arts training. From the moment you step into their dojo, Sakura Karate Club aims to make a difference in your life.

With their tailored programs and experienced instructors, Sakura Karate Club is committed to helping you achieve your goals. Their classes are widely recognised as some of the best available, as they work closely with each individual to ensure their success. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, strength, flexibility, core, resilience, or focus, martial arts training at Sakura Karate Club provides fantastic health benefits for the mind, body, and soul.

One of the great things about Sakura Karate Club is that they cater to all ages, starting from 5 years old. They offer classes for beginners and have flexible class sizes, ensuring that every student receives the attention they need. As proud members of the Australian Karate Federation, Karate Victoria, and Kobe Osaka International, Sakura Karate Club is committed to upholding high standards of training and professionalism.

Training at Sakura Karate Club is affordable, with the option to train in any 3 classes a week for under $29.00. They offer the flexibility for students to change class days during the week, although children are grouped according to their age and belt level. Classes run five days a week, from Monday to Thursday, with sessions in the afternoons and Saturday mornings. Additionally, Sakura Karate Club provides a school holiday program that includes alternative training, fitness classes, parent and child training, and games day.

At Sakura Karate Club, the safety of their students is paramount. Children are not allowed to spar until they reach the yellow belt level and have trained for a minimum of 9 months. During sparring sessions, students are required to wear full protective gear, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Sakura Karate Club also offers family discounts for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th family members, making it a great opportunity for the whole family to train together. The only additional costs apart from training fees are the Annual Affiliation Fee and the Grading fee whenever students wish to attempt a new belt level.

Leading the way at Sakura Karate Club is Sensei Jason Nichols, the Chief Instructor, who holds a 6th Dan Blackbelt in Shukokai Karate. With over three decades of training experience, Sensei Jason started Sakura Karate Club as a full-time professional school in 2010. He has been graded by Shihan Tommy Morris (President Kobe Osaka International) since 1987 and also has training in the traditional martial art of Jui-Jitsu. Rest assured, Sensei Jason is highly qualified, holding Level 2 Silver NCAS Coaching, Senior First Aid, and Working With Children certifications.

Join Sakura Karate Club – KOBE OSAKA today and experience the transformative power of martial arts training. Discover the benefits for your mind, body, and soul and become part of a passionate community dedicated to achieving greatness through Karate.
