Tallington Lakes Water Ski & Wakeboard School, a renowned Water Skiing club in Stamford, is excited to promote an upcoming local Water Skiing event.

The event will take place at the Sailing Lake at Tallington, which offers an idyllic setting for Dinghy Sailors. With its clear, high-quality water, it is one of the premier Sailing Centres in the UK. Whether you are a member or non-member, Tallington Lakes warmly welcomes everyone and provides excellent changing and shower facilities.

The lakes are open year-round, subject to weather conditions, while the Sailing Centre facilities are available daily from April 1 to September, during peak season, including the summer holidays and weekends. From 9.30am to 6.30pm, you can enjoy our dedicated sailing lake and take part in the various sailing courses, all led by fully qualified RYA instructors.

Our diverse fleet boasts impressive vessels, including 4 x Topaz Taz, 8 x Topaz, 2 x Topaz Race, and 2 x Omega. Before venturing onto the water for the first time, all participants must complete a disclaimer. We kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or alter your booking to allow for a transfer or credit note. Please note that no refunds will be given.

At Tallington Lakes, access to the facilities and the use of all amenities is at your own risk. While we strive to ensure your safety, we cannot accept liability for any accidents or injuries that may occur.

If you have your own sailing craft, you can enjoy the Tallington experience by purchasing an annual launch fee, priced at £160 for dinghies. Alternatively, a day launch fee of £12, along with the necessary insurance, is also available.

For those looking for recreational hires, we offer sailing kit rentals at competitive prices. You can hire a Topaz Uno for £20 or a Topaz Omega for £35. To hire the equipment only, you must hold the appropriate RYA Level 2 competency in sailing.

Our sailing courses cater to both adults and juniors. Adult courses start at a “have a go” session, priced at £60 for 1 1/2 hours. RYA junior sailing courses, created to foster a perfect learning environment for young sailors, are available for a group (2 or more) at a cost of £50 for a “have a go” session.

Participation in a course does not automatically guarantee an RYA endorsed certificate. If you prefer personalised tuition, you can hire an instructor at a rate of £30 per hour (equipment hire not included).

For junior sailors looking to enhance their skills, we have the Saturday Sharks Sailing Club. Led by RYA instructors, these club meetings offer regular fun sessions with valuable advice and guidance. The club runs on Saturdays from 9:30am to 11am, between April and September, priced at £35 per session. Please ensure you book your sessions at least one week in advance.
