Peterborough Sailing Club is excited to announce the upcoming sailing lessons for adult members. Taught by certified Sail Canada instructors, these lessons offer a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of sailing while working towards earning a CANSail 2 certificate. With a total of 30 hours spent both in the classroom and on the water, participants will gain a solid foundation in the basics of sailing.
During the lessons, participants will have the chance to sail in club sailboats such as Albacores, Wayfarers, and Lasers. Due to limited course enrolment, early registration is recommended to secure a spot. Participants must be at least 19 years old as of May 31 and should be able to swim 20 meters unaided. Don't forget, wearing a properly fitting Department of Transportation/Canadian Coast Guard approved life jacket or PFD is essential for safety on the water.
Lessons will be held on various Sundays from May 26 to July 7, 2024, at the Peterborough Sailing Club's location at 3121 Cottage Lane, Lakefield, Ontario. Remember, refunds will only be issued if requested at least 14 days prior to the first scheduled class.
