For those interested in keel boat racing, the club has you covered. The Club conducts keel boat races on Saturday afternoons and some Sundays throughout summer. You can expect a variety of race formats, including 'Triangle-Sausage-Triangle' or 'Around the Buoys,' short course 'Windward-Leewards,' marathons, handicap start or 'Pursuit,' and interclub races to/from Fremantle Sailing Club. Divided into separate divisions, these races cater to faster sports boats, smaller and slower keel boats, as well as jib and mainsail only boats.

If you prefer a more relaxed cruising experience, The Cruising Yacht Club of WA offers Jib and Main cruising on Friday evenings. Starting at 1730 hours from December to March, this event is open to all cruisers, big and small. The course takes you close to the Rockingham foreshore, providing a captivating spectacle for onlookers. The aim is to finish the course before sunset, creating a captivating and memorable experience for all participants.
