Davey's Bay Yacht Club is excited to announce their upcoming local Sailing event. This event is perfect for sailing enthusiasts in Melbourne who are eager to test their skills on the water.
The club runs an active sailing program, offering racing opportunities for all levels of experience. Every Sunday between October and April, sailors gather at the club to participate in thrilling races and enjoy the beauty of Davey's Bay.
In the mornings, our Junior sailors take to the water in their Optimists and OziOptis. These young sailors showcase their talent and passion for the sport, creating an electric atmosphere as they navigate the waves.
For our more seasoned sailors, the afternoons are reserved for our senior fleet races. Flying Fifteens and off the beach dinghies gracefully glide through the water, showcasing the artistry of sailing.
To support the growth and development of our sailors, we provide a fleet of Pacers for training and racing. Additionally, you can often spot Sabres, 420s, and Fireballs gracing the waters.
At Davey's Bay Yacht Club, we firmly believe in nurturing the talents of our youngest members. That's why we have a strong focus on training, ensuring that our future sailing stars receive the support they need. Even kids as young as eight years old can join in the fun and excitement, hitting the water at 9.00 am every Sunday.
But sailing is not only for the young; we also cater to our adult and youth members with tailored programs to meet their specific needs. No matter your age or experience level, there's a place for you at our Sailing event.
