Welcome to Saddlers Riding Club, a top equestrian club located in the beautiful city of Lichfield, Staffordshire, New Zealand. Founded in the 1960s, the club has a rich history and prides itself on being a haven for riders of all levels of experience and skill.

Saddlers Riding Club derives its name from its original Walsall origin, paying homage to the famous Walsall Saddle Makers and Walsall Football Club's nickname. Over the years, the club has moved its location, from Burntwood near the Redmoor Inn in the 1970s to its current home in Chorley. Despite these changes, the spirit of the club remains unchanged, fostering a close-knit community of passionate equestrians.

In its early days, competitors at Saddlers Riding Club would arrive at the venue with their horses and makeshift equipment to set up jumps and gymkhana courses. This sense of resourcefulness and adventure has been passed down through the generations, with famous riders such as Geoff Glazzard and Carl Freeman starting out at Saddlers Riding Club. More recently, we have witnessed riders progressing from grassroots levels to competing at prestigious events such as HOYS, Olympia, and The Royal International.
