Ryu Ju Jitsu, under the leadership of Sensei Ray, offers a distinguished martial arts programme in Dagenham, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. Rooted in the tradition of Ju-Jitsu, a combat style originating from the Samurai era, Ryu Ju Jitsu prioritises a non-aggressive form of self-defence, employing techniques such as grabs, throws, and locks.
Members will benefit from learning methods that are foundational to modern martial arts like Aikido and Judo, while also understanding principles seen in Karate and other disciplines. Beyond self-defence, these techniques are valuable for professionals in the Police, Prison Services, and the Military.
The club, under Sensei Ray's guidance, not only focuses on physical skills but also imparts values like respect, fun, discipline, character building, confidence, and focus. Sensei Ray, a 4th Dan black belt with over 35 years of experience, leads the team of instructors. Sensei Lorraine, also a 4th Dan black belt, and Sensei Sophie, a 2nd Dan black belt, bring decades of expertise to their roles, particularly in the All Tigers and Dragon classes.
