Nomad Sailing (Shorebased), the local Sailing club in London, is thrilled to announce their upcoming event, the RYA Day Skipper Theory course. This course is an absolute must for anyone looking to prepare themselves for the Day Skipper Practical course. It covers all the fundamental aspects of near-shore navigation, collision regulations, meteorology, tidal calculations, safety, and so much more.
If you're based in London, you're in luck as the theory course takes place right here in the city. You can attend one evening a week for 8 weeks, and each session is expertly structured to provide you with an introduction to each topic, as well as plenty of hands-on practice. On the other hand, if you prefer heading down to Gosport, the course can be completed over 6 consecutive days in a comfortable classroom at Premier Marina. Throughout the course, you'll receive 40 hours of tuition and study, with thorough RYA materials and additional Nomad Sailing notes to support your learning. And don't worry, our fantastic tutors are always on hand to assist you whenever you need help. Plus, if you choose to take the course in Gosport, we may even have accommodation available on one of our incredible yachts for the duration of the course.
When it comes to assessments, we're all about flexibility. You can decide to take your exams at your convenience on designated evenings or weekends. To ensure that each student receives the attention they deserve, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of 6–12 students. This creates a fun and friendly atmosphere for learning, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to make new friends who share your passion for sailing. And speaking of breaks, we've got you covered with delicious refreshments to keep you energised throughout the course.
But wait, there's more! We understand that sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs, and we want you to feel confident when booking our course. That's why we offer a Free Resit Guarantee. If you face difficulties during the course or unfortunately fail your assessments, you can resit or rejoin another course at no extra cost. We're here to support you every step of the way.
Now, you may be wondering if you need any previous sailing experience to join the course. The answer is a resounding no! All you require is a genuine interest in sailing and an eagerness to learn. So if you're ready to dive into the world of sailing and gain the knowledge you need to become a Day Skipper, head over to our website to check the available course dates. Once you've done that, don't hesitate to get in touch with Lou or Jim for more information. They'll be more than happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to expand your sailing skills and join our vibrant sailing community. We can't wait to see you there!
