Runcorn Subscription Bowling Club, located behind Runcorn Sports Club in Moughland Lane, has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1910. Since 1925, it has been situated at its present site and has become a popular destination for lawn bowls enthusiasts in Runcorn.
In 2016, the Bowling Club affiliated with Runcorn Sports Club, allowing for a joint membership scheme. This means that Sports Club members can now use the Bowling Green free of charge, while Bowls Club members have access to the excellent facilities provided by the Sports Club.
During the Bowls season, which runs from the end of March to mid-September, Runcorn Subscription Bowling Club has four teams participating in various leagues. The Green is available for casual use at any time, except when the teams are playing. Bowls are provided for use, and coaching or advice can be arranged upon request.
