For those new to archery, Rugby Archers offers comprehensive beginner's courses. With a blend of theory and practical lessons, participants will learn proper shooting techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.

The courses are open to juniors (under 18) and seniors, with each session accommodating up to 8 attendees. Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian throughout the course. The cost is 60 per junior and 70 per senior, providing excellent value for the quality of instruction and support offered. To ensure availability, bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.

The club shoots at Thornfield Indoor Bowls Club in Rugby, which provides a spacious and well-equipped venue for archery activities. There is also a change in shooting times for the indoor season, with sessions now held on Thursdays from 6-8pm and Sundays from 12-3pm. This extended shooting schedule allows for increased practise time and flexibility for members.

In addition to the regular shooting sessions and courses, Rugby Archers actively participates in community events and initiatives. For instance, the club recently hosted a successful Start Archery event, in collaboration with Archery GB, to promote the sport to the public. This event attracted over 150 participants, who had the opportunity to try archery and learn more about Rugby Archers. The club also raised 170 for Macmillan Cancer Support during the event, highlighting their commitment to giving back to the community.
