The Rugby Young Athletes Enquiries program is perfect for those who are interested in athletics and want to give it a try. Whether you're a non-member or just looking for a pay-as-you-go option, this program welcomes everyone. Led by experienced junior coaches who are athletes themselves, these sessions are designed to be enjoyable and offer a variety of events for all abilities. So, if you're looking for a fun and active way to spend your time, make sure to mark September 7th to December 14th on your calendar!
If you're a junior club athlete, there are training sessions available for you on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, specific discipline sessions are offered by invitation. If you're new to athletics and between the ages of 7 and 13, we recommend attending the Saturday Track Club first. This will give you a great introduction to the sport. Don't worry if you're a bit unsure or new to all this – we welcome beginners with open arms! And guess what? Monthly inductions are also available for new juniors who want to join our main club. Once you become a full junior club member, you can still be part of the Saturday sessions and continue to improve your skills.
For the older athletes or those who already have existing abilities in athletics, you will have the opportunity to join a suitable group after trying out a couple of sessions. We don't have a formal induction process for you; instead, you'll be selected based on your performance and interest. Once you're chosen, you'll be required to become a full member of our club. After your induction or trial sessions, you'll be given a spot in one of our groups, which meet every Tuesday and Thursday night. These sessions start on the first Tuesday of each month. It's recommended that you bring along a completed membership form and make the necessary payment before starting your first session. This will help us ensure a smooth process and get you started on the right track. Oh, and don't worry – we'll introduce you to your new coaching team and make sure you feel welcomed and supported throughout your athletic journey.
