Rudheath Bowls, a stalwart of the local sports scene in Northwich, celebrated its centenary in 2020, thanks to the persistent efforts of Clive Nelson, who delved deep into the club's history and brought the community together for this momentous occasion.
The 'C' team had an impressive season, winning the treble and showcasing its prowess on the green.
The bowling green, established in 1885, has seen decades of competition. Rudheath Bowling Club has been a cornerstone since 1904, helping to launch the Mid-Cheshire Bowling League. Known for many years as Farmers Arms Bowling Club, its future was uncertain when the pub closed in 2004. Thankfully, Rudheath Sports and Social Club stepped in, and with the hard work of volunteers, the green was revitalised into one of the county's best venues.
Rudheath Bowls looks forward to continued growth and development in the upcoming seasons, aiming to strengthen its role as a focal point for sport and community activities.
Players of all skill levels and ages are welcome. Crown Green Bowls is inclusive and suitable for everyone, including those with disabilities. It’s a fantastic way for families to spend time together and make new friends.

Upcoming events include the Spring Open and the Chairman's Cup Week, where bowlers can test their mettle against top competitors. The Spring Open, started in 2009, is a highlight on the crown green calendar.
Rudheath Bowls invites everyone to join and be part of its long-standing heritage and bright future.
