Founded by Mr. Rajasekhar Reddy with the support of enthusiasts including Mr. Leela Kumar, Mr. Prashanth Reddy, and Mr. Srikanth Reddy, the academy prides itself on developing skilled chess players who compete and excel on global stages.
The overwhelming success in Kakinada inspired an expansion, leading to the inception of a new branch in Kondapur, Hyderabad, in 2017. Beginning with just three students, the Kondapur location has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 40 chess enthusiasts. This growth continued with the establishment of additional branches in Anantapur, Telangana, and a second one in Kakinada. Roy Chess Academy stands out for its personalized approach to chess education, fostering talent through both face-to-face and online classes that attract students from across the globe, including the United States, United Kingdom, UAE, and India.
