Rebecca extends a warm welcome to all as she introduces the RWB Otters, an amateur swimming club based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon. The club’s mission under Rebecca's leadership is to be known for delivering quality teaching in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere, striving for competitive success, and fostering a lifelong love of swimming among its members.
Rebecca’s philosophy for the club is based on the principles of lifelong swimming, enjoyment, and fitness. RWB Otters stands out for its supportive and enjoyable environment, providing opportunities for swimmers of all levels. Whether you're beginning in the Learn to Swim section, competing at county and regional levels with the Competition Squad, or enhancing fitness in the Masters section, Rebecca is committed to helping you achieve your goals.
Under Rebecca's direction, RWB Otters is operated entirely by volunteers. The coaches and helpers, who generously volunteer their time, are highly qualified, with most holding at least an 'ASA Assistant Teacher' qualification. Collectively, they contribute over 2000 hours each year, dedicated to helping children learn, compete, and develop their swimming abilities.
The club’s Learn to Swim programme aims to build confidence in and around water, providing a safe and nurturing environment for skill development and growth. For those interested in competition, the Competition Squad offers opportunities to compete throughout Wiltshire, supporting swimmers to reach their full potential.
For those who prefer a less competitive but still active role, the Masters section focuses on fitness and enjoyment. It's ideal for those who want to stay active while having fun in a social setting.
While RWB Otters celebrates competitive success, Rebecca believes that the journey should be enjoyable. Fun is crucial, and she ensures that all members have a positive and rewarding experience.
Rebecca also upholds policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and well-being of all members. This includes adhering to ASA photography guidelines, maintaining a clear changing room policy, and following the club’s constitution. FAQs are also provided to address common queries.
Rebecca invites you to join RWB Otters and enjoy the pleasure of swimming in a fun, supportive community. Whether you are a novice, a competitive swimmer, or someone looking to stay fit, RWB Otters offers a welcoming environment dedicated to helping you achieve your aquatic goals.
