Situated along the Menai Strait, the club offers stunning views of the strait and the old town. The club has a rich history, with events such as Welsh rebellions and Victorian Regattas shaping its colourful tapestry.

The Royal Welsh Yacht Club is proud of its sailing heritage and offers a regular cruising programme to local areas and even occasionally further afield, weather permitting. The club also hosts a race day during the annual Menai Strait Regatta, where local clubs come together for this traditional event. For those interested in rowing, the club has three Celtic Sea Rowing long boats and two yoles available for use by full members during regular sessions. Races against other clubs take place throughout the season, including a Castle to Castle race from Beaumaris Castle to Caernarfon Castle.
