To learn more about the Royal Thames Yacht Club, established in 1775 and one of the UK's oldest and most prestigious yacht clubs, contact Mike, the Chief Executive, or a member of the secretariat via the details on the 'Meet the Team' page.
The London-based club offers a wealth of activities centred around sailing. Members can enjoy competitive racing on the Solent and at Queen Mary Reservoir, as well as cruising events in local waters and internationally. The club's fleets include 12 new Sonars and a set of J/70s based in Cowes. Teams regularly compete against other clubs both in the UK and abroad.
Younger Members, up to age 36, actively participate in all levels of sailing and organise various social events.
The Knightsbridge Clubhouse, an exclusive base for members and guests, features two bars, reading and meeting rooms, a la carte 'Coffee Room' restaurant, and a relaxed Bistro. Members can enjoy the luxury of overnight stays in comfortable cabins, with Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and Sloane Street only a short walk away.
The diverse social programme includes formal dinners with renowned speakers and popular events like Oktoberfest. 'Waterside Chats' feature insights from navigating southern oceans to cheese making and wine tasting.
