Royal Regina Golf Club

Established in 1899, the Royal Regina Golf Club holds the distinction of being Saskatchewans first and oldest golf club. This prestigious, semi-private golf club is one of only six courses in Canada to have received the official Royal designation. Situated on 121 acres of land, the golf course at the Royal Regina has a rich history of relocation and improvement. The current location, west of Lewvan Drive and south of 11th Avenue, has been its home since 1901. Over the years, the course has seen significant enhancements, including the construction of new greens, water hazards, and bunkers, as well as redesigns to several holes and mounding changes. At 6500 yards from the Championship tees, the length may be somewhat short by modern standards, but the narrow fairways and precise approach shots required make it a true test of a golfer's skill.

During the 2003 Canadian National Mid-Amateur Championships, the Royal Regina Golf Club challenged 120 of the best amateur golfers in Canada, with only five percent of rounds being completed under par. The tournament low score was 67 (-5), showcasing the difficulty and respect the course commands.
