Royal City Badminton Club

Was founded with the mission of promoting the sport of badminton and providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels in Guelph. The club is run entirely by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the sport and are committed to fostering a sense of community among members.

Royal City Badminton Club offers a variety of programs for adults, youth (grades 8-12), and children (grades 4-7). The club's season typically runs from September to April, with weekly sessions held at Centennial C. V. I.

High School in Guelph. The club's schedule includes designated evenings for organized drills led by NCCP-certified Level I and II coaches, providing players with the opportunity to improve their skills in a small group setting.

In addition to regular play and coaching sessions, Royal City Badminton Club hosts tournaments and special events throughout the season, allowing members to compete and socialize with fellow players. The club also has a Ladder Board to track player rankings and tournament winners, adding a competitive element to the club's activities.

To ensure the safety of all participants, the club enforces rules and procedures, including the mandatory use of protective eyewear that conforms to ASTM 803 Standards for high school and grade school players. The club also offers Karakal Protective Eyewear for purchase at cost for those in need.

Membership fees for the club are payable via e-transfer or cheque, with drop-in guests being permitted on designated nights for a fee. The club's executive team works diligently to provide members with up-to-date information on scheduling, cancelations, and special events through social media and the club's website.
