Join Southern Cross Outdoors Group (SCOG) for a thrilling medium grade bushwalking adventure in the scenic Royal National Park. This hiking activity promises an exhilarating experience, but it's important to note that it is only suitable for those who are physically fit. The route will take you from Heathcote to Heathcote, passing through Lower Kangaroo Creek and Karloo Pool.
During the hike, be prepared for some challenging sections that involve scrambling along the creek, where surfaces can be slippery. Additionally, there may be rock scrambling with potential trip hazards such as tree roots, loose stones, and slippery ground. It's crucial to exercise caution and stay alert throughout the hike.
Along the way, you'll come across numerous natural pools in the creek, perfect for a refreshing swim. We'll also have a long lunch break at the famous Olympic pool, a large pool that provides a tranquil spot to relax and refuel.
To begin the adventure, we'll meet at Central Station and hop on a train departing from Platform 25. The train will take us to Heathcote, where the hike will commence. Don't forget to bring your own food for lunch and snacks to keep you energised throughout the day. It's also essential to carry a minimum of 2 litres of drinking water to stay hydrated. Additionally, ensure you have sunscreen for sun protection and wear sturdy walking shoes for comfort and stability.
If you have any questions or need further information about the hike, feel free to contact Rogo at 9632 6284 before 7pm. Alternatively, you can simply show up on the day and join us for an unforgettable outdoor experience.
We look forward to seeing you there!
