Pretty Little Ballerinas, the esteemed ballet club in Cooks Hill, offers an incredible opportunity for students to showcase their talent through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) assessment. These assessments, designed to nurture and reward dancers of all ages and abilities, provide a progressive structure for learning and achievement.
To ensure the best possible outcome, children interested in participating in the RAD assessment must dedicate themselves to attending two classes per week. It is crucial that they do not miss more than three classes per term. These weekly lessons are meticulously crafted to focus on technique, learning, and memory of set exercises, fostering performance quality, and building confidence in each little ballerina.
If your little one is unable to commit to the regular classes, worry not! Pretty Little Ballerinas also offers RAD holiday classes during the September school holidays. These classes provide an excellent opportunity for kids to stay engaged and continue honing their skills during their break.
The eagerly anticipated RAD assessments take place during term 4 at the prestigious RAD HQ in Darlinghurst. The exact dates for the assessments will be provided later. During this assessment, children have the opportunity to perform alongside up to three of their classmates in the breathtaking RAD HQ studio. Upon completion, they will be awarded a special certificate and badge from the RAD, marking their outstanding achievement.
Participating in the RAD assessment requires a commitment equivalent to the fee for two lessons per week. However, once the assessment is complete, children can transition back to one lesson per week for the remainder of term 4.
It is important to note that there is an exam entry fee of approximately $130 for the RAD assessment. In addition, the September school holiday classes cost $45 each, which cover approximately two sessions lasting 1.5 hours. These fees ensure the smooth running of the assessments and the quality of instruction provided by Pretty Little Ballerinas.
If you believe your child has what it takes to succeed in the RAD assessment and would like to explore this incredible opportunity further, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pretty Little Ballerinas. We would be more than happy to provide you with additional information and discuss your child's potential participation.
