Rotorua Yacht Club runs sailing on Lake Rotorua, with dinghy yachts and catamarans sailing most Sunday afternoons during summer and fortnightly in winter. Located near Ohinemutu on the waterfront, it offers Learn to Sail youth and adult programmes using boats including Optimist, Laser (4.7, Radial and Standard) and Topaz. Members can take part in club racing and a Friday-evening social sailing series during Terms 1 and 4 (daylight savings).
