Don't miss out on the chance to join in on Rossendale's first junior parkrun at Victoria Park in Helmshore Road! With up to 50 young participants every week, this event has become a hit since its launch in November. The 2k course is a great way for kids to stay active and have fun.
Supported by volunteers, including teens working on their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, each runner gets their own barcode to track their progress. Thanks to the help of parkrun limited and local ambassador James Thomas, the event is now looking to expand to other parks in the area.
Organizers are passionate about getting local schools involved to promote a healthy lifestyle and some friendly competition. Best of all, this event is completely free and open to all, so everyone can join in on the fun!
