Roslyn Swimming Academy Ltd is a swimming school in New Zealand that offers a wide range of courses for swimmers at different stages of development. The Parent & Child classes are designed for children aged 8 months to 3 years, split into two age groups. As swimmers progress each term and get older, there will be more emphasis on introducing swimming strokes. The class size is limited to 8–12 participants, with a teacher in the water.

For preschool beginners aged 3–4 years, the Ducklings classes provide a structured play environment for learning the fundamentals of swimming. These classes have a maximum of 6 participants, with a teacher and helper in the water to ensure personalised attention and support.

The Intro Beginners L2S Stage 1 course is suitable for school-aged children with no previous swimming experience or those who are unable to swim unaided. Through play-based lessons, children develop confidence and ease in the swimming pool. They will learn basic arm and leg movements, floating, and blowing bubbles underwater. Upon completion of this stage, children can swim 5 metres unaided and be confident to jump into the water.

Awards obtainable at this level include the L2S Stage 1 Puffin and 5-metre badge.

The Beginners L2S Stage 2 course is designed for children who can swim without aids for about 5 metres on their front and back and are comfortable submerging their faces in water. This stage introduces overarm recovery for Front Crawl and Backstroke, as well as Breaststroke and Butterfly. By the end of this stage, children should be able to swim 8 metres of Front Crawl and Backstroke, as well as a basic Breaststroke. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 6–8 participants, with a teacher and helper in the water.

For swimmers who can already swim 8 metres using Front Crawl and Backstroke, the Improvers 1 L2S Stage 3 course focuses on developing these skills further. Participants will become more competent in all strokes, with emphasis on efficient kick, body positions, and breathing techniques. Sculling and treading water will also be introduced. At the end of this stage, children will be able to swim 10 metres of Front Crawl and Backstroke.

Awards obtainable at this level include the L2S Stage 3 and 10-metre badge. Class sizes have a maximum of 8 participants, with a teacher and helper in the water.

The Improvers 2 L2S Stage 4 course is for swimmers who can confidently swim 10 metres using Front Crawl and Backstroke and demonstrate 5 metres of Breaststroke, Butterfly, treading water, and sculling. This stage focuses on refining technique and further improving stroke efficiency. Class sizes are limited to ensure personalised attention and support from the teacher and helper in the water.
