Swing & Sway, the local Contemporary Dance club in Buckhurst Hill, is thrilled to promote a fantastic general dance class suitable for children aged 4 and above. If your little one is a fan of Strictly Come Dancing, then this is the perfect class for them!
In this class, we cover a wide variety of dance styles all in one session. From Latin American dances like Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, and Paso Doble to Ballroom dances such as Social Foxtrot, Social Quickstep, Slow Waltz, and Tango. We also include Rock ‘n’ Roll, Merengue, Salsa, as well as Freestyle and Commercial Street Dance.
At Swing & Sway, we understand the importance of taking care of growing muscles. That's why we always begin each class with a warm-up and end with a cool down. During the class, we also practice breathing exercises and set skills to improve strength, flexibility, rhythm, and poise.
For those aspiring to take exams, our class offers the opportunity to collect 12 Rosettes in line with the IDTA curriculum. And for those who want to take things one step further, we also offer training towards the Preparatory Grades in Latin, Ballroom, and Freestyle, which are regulated by OFQUAL.
