Room 13 Fitness is an independent, family-run gym and martial arts centre located in Southampton, New Zealand. With a focus on helping people achieve their fitness goals and aspirations, Room 13 Fitness offers a range of services including Gym Training, Functional Training, and Martial Arts. The gym is also home to the Hythe Dragons Kickboxing Club, boasting 4 current World kickboxing Champions.

The ethos of Room 13 Fitness is to bring fitness back to basics, dispelling the myths and mis-media that often cloud the approach to healthy living. The team at Room 13 Fitness is dedicated to encouraging individuals to embrace a healthy lifestyle out of choice, rather than necessity.

Owned by Martin Binge, who has been involved in martial arts for over 30 years, Room 13 Fitness prides itself on its experienced and knowledgeable staff. Martin holds a 4th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing and a 5th Dan Black Belt in Goju Ryu Karate. He has received numerous accolades over the years, including being named 'New Forest Coach of the Year' and being inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Martin is also a qualified TRX coach.

Room 13 Fitness is managed by Darren Binge, who has been with the gym since 2013. Darren is a Level 3 Personal Trainer with qualifications in Exercise for Disabled Clients, Suspension Training, and Kettlebell Instruction. He has been involved in martial arts for 22 years, holding a 3rd Dan Black Belt and a Silver World Medal in kickboxing. Darren is also studying for his Level 4 in Personal Training, specialising in Nutrition for diabetes, obesity, and athletic performance.

The team at Room 13 Fitness is further supported by Jordan Keates, who serves as one of the receptionists. A passionate gym-goer himself, Jordan is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to all members.

Room 13 Fitness also offers additional services such as personal training and sports massage therapy. Emma Mills, a Level 3 qualified Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer with over 10 years of experience, runs Waterside Massage Team within the purpose-built clinic at Room 13 Fitness. Emma also runs the Little Dragons Kickboxing class.

Jessie Binge, another member of the team, is a Sports Massage Therapist and Holistic Therapist. She is also the owner of Zen Life Centre & Little Warriors Academy, which operates within Room 13 Fitness' treatment clinic. Jessie holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Karate and is also experienced in Kickboxing and Tai Chi. She offers a range of massage treatments, including Hot & Cold stone therapies, Sports massage, and healing sessions.

At Room 13 Fitness, there are a variety of classes available for all ages and fitness levels. From Kickboxing for 6-8 year-olds to self-defence classes for kids and adults, there is something for everyone. The gym also offers boxing classes and different training durations to cater to individual preferences and schedules.
