The story of Rockmount Golf Club began in the early 90s, when Robert and Diane Patterson transformed part of their farmland near Carryduff into an eighteen-hole championship standard golf course. Their vision also included the creation of a modern clubhouse with a fantastic restaurant and bar. The course officially opened on May 8th, 1995, with the honour of the opening ceremony bestowed upon European Ryder Cup player Darren Clarke.
