Rochdale Warriors Karate Club

Rochdale Warriors Karate Club, located in Rochdale, offers karate training for both adults and children in the Shukokai style of karate. Led by the esteemed Chief Instructor Sensei Damien McLaughlin, who holds an 8th Dan black belt, the club boasts over 48 years of karate experience at a high level of competition, teaching, and refereeing.

The classes at Rochdale Warriors Karate Club are open to beginners as well as experienced karate practitioners. The club also welcomes students from other styles of karate to join and train with them.

The karate training at the club encompasses a comprehensive mix of warm-ups, stretching exercises, and structured teaching. Students will learn the basics of striking, blocking, and evading techniques, as well as engage in pad work for punching, kicking, and blocking. Karate sparring and competition fighting, known as Kumite, are regularly taught and practised in the club.

Rochdale Warriors Karate Club focuses on both the traditional and sport aspects of karate. The club provides coaching and preparation for students who are interested in competing in tournaments. They aim to develop well-rounded karate practitioners who can excel in both traditional and sport karate.

Prospective members are encouraged to come and observe a training session before making a commitment to join. The club offers an introductory offer of four free lessons, allowing individuals to experience training and see if it aligns with their goals before officially becoming a member.
