At Roar Taekwondo GB, we are passionate about sharing the benefits of Taekwondo with our community. We are a non-profit club based in the south of Leeds, offering classes for all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn martial arts and improve your fitness, or an experienced athlete looking to compete at a high level, we have something for everyone.
Our classes follow the Olympic or WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) style, which is the only style recognised by the Olympics. This style has been an event within the Olympics since 1992, giving our students the opportunity to potentially compete at a global level.
What sets us apart is our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment. We welcome individuals of all ages, genders, and cultures to join our club. Our dedicated instructors are registered with British Taekwondo, the National Governing Body for WTF Taekwondo in the UK. They are all enhanced DBS (CRB) and first aid certified every term, ensuring the highest level of safety for our students.
One of our key instructors is Master Sammy, a black belt 4th Dan with over 20 years of professional experience in the sport. He started his career at a young age and has won several titles, including the Junior Iranian National Champion. We also have Mahsa, a highly qualified instructor who has achieved Dan 1 status and has trained under World Champion Grand Master Ata Alavi. Together, our team is dedicated to providing quality teaching and helping our students achieve their goals.
