River City Swim School is the top swimming instructor in Murray Bridge, offering top-quality swimming lessons in their indoor, heated pool. With a focus on correct swimming technique, they provide kids swimming classes and private one-on-one lessons, ensuring that students of all ages and skill levels receive the attention and guidance they need to excel in the water.
Jenny Rowberry, the experienced and Austswim qualified instructor, leads the swimming lessons at River City Swim School. With over 20 years of experience, Jenny has established herself as a trusted and knowledgeable instructor in the community. She is dedicated to teaching students the proper swimming strokes, while also fostering their confidence, fitness, and water safety skills.
The venue itself boasts a safe and temperature-controlled pool, ensuring a comfortable environment for all swimmers. Family members can watch their children's progress and have fun in the water from the seating area provided, with no entry cost for spectators. Additionally, for the convenience of parents, half of the pool is open for lap swimmers, allowing them to exercise while their child is in their lesson. Please note that a pool entry charge applies for swimmers not participating in classes.
For children, small group swimming classes are held Monday to Friday, with each class running for half an hour per week during the school terms. These classes focus on teaching children the correct stroke technique, while also developing their confidence, fitness, and water safety. Students will learn and practise swimming strokes such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, and classes always end with some fun and educational water games. To ensure optimal learning, student to instructor ratios are kept low, with students grouped with up to five others of a similar swimming ability.
River City Swim School offers competitive pricing for their swimming lessons, with lessons costing $17. 50 per half hour class. Payment is required per term and should be made by the end of the second week of term. There are no classes on public holidays.
All students are required to bring their own goggles, while kick boards and other training equipment are provided by the school. Additionally, the school accommodates children as young as three years old for lessons, making it a perfect option for families with younger children.
For those who prefer a more personalised approach, Jenny also offers one-on-one private swimming lessons for both children and adults. She has experience teaching non-swimming adults, individuals with disabilities, and those for whom English is a second language. Students are responsible for providing their own goggles for these individual lessons.
