RDA Oakford is excited to announce their upcoming Equestrian event in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale! This event is not only a chance to showcase the amazing talent of our riders, but also an opportunity to raise awareness and support for disabled individuals in our community.
At RDA Oakford, we understand the importance of horse riding as a form of therapy and exercise for disabled children and adults. It not only helps improve physical abilities, but also provides a much-needed boost in confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is to make a positive difference in someone's life, and this event is just one way we can achieve that.
The event will be filled with exciting activities and competitions for riders of all levels. From dressage to show jumping, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. And don't worry if you're not a rider yourself, spectators are more than welcome to come and show their support!
One of the stories that truly exemplify the impact of RDA Oakford is Liam's story. Liam, an eight-year-old boy with Down syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, has experienced incredible improvements in his physical abilities and comprehension levels through his involvement with RDA Oakford. Horse riding has given him a new perspective on life and has helped him build his self-esteem. Liam's orthopaedic surgeon has also recognised the positive impact that horse riding has had on his hips.
It's amazing to see how our volunteers at RDA Oakford handle the challenges that may arise with expertise and care. They ensure that every participant, including cheeky ones like Liam, can engage in the necessary activities while having a great time.
So come on down to the Equestrian event in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale and join us in supporting disabled individuals in our community. It's going to be a fantastic day filled with unbelievable displays of talent, heartwarming stories, and a true sense of community. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of something truly special.
