Chelsea Pony Club's Equestrian club in Auckland is proud to present their upcoming event, Riders Without Horses (RWH). This fantastic program is specifically designed for children who are new to Pony Club and have a keen interest in learning about horse management and care. The best part? You don't need to own a horse or have any riding equipment!
RWH offers a structured learning curriculum that covers all the essential safety factors when handling horses, such as care, health, grooming, paddocking, and tack knowledge. Our knowledgeable instructors will guide participants through all the ins and outs of proper horse care. It's a wonderful opportunity for young enthusiasts to gain valuable knowledge and develop a strong foundation in the equestrian world.
It's important to note that RWH rallies are unmounted and do not include riding instruction. However, if RWH participants are eager to learn how to ride, we highly recommend seeking riding instruction outside the pony club. After all, mastering the art of horseback riding is a whole new adventure in itself!
When attending RWH rallies, participants are required to wear covered shoes and practical, comfortable clothes. We do have our stylish club polo shirts available for order, but don't worry, they're not compulsory. With the sun shining down on us, it's essential to bring your own sunblock to ensure everyone stays protected.
Now, let's talk safety. At Chelsea Pony Club, the safety, and welfare of both our members and horses are of utmost importance. This means that all safety and horse welfare rules apply to our RWH members as well. We kindly request that parents/guardians be present on-site during the rallies, or alternatively, nominate a responsible person to accompany your RWH child.
