Welcome to Richmond (Yorks) Bowl Club at Ronaldshay Park, just off Quakers Lane! Founded in 1951, our club has been a staple of the community, with our green dating back to the 1920s. We've made loads of improvements over the years to keep everything top-notch for matches.
Open from April to September, our club welcomes both members and visitors from 10:30 am until dusk, every day. If you’re new to bowls, Nigel offers free “taster” sessions, complete with bowls and shoes. It’s a great way to give the game a go! 🎳 We're open to everyone, no matter your age or skill level – many first-timers become full members.
Richmond (Yorks) Bowl Club is proud to be part of the Yorkshire Bowling Association and Bowls England. Our club is smoothly run by President Mrs J. Capewell, Vice-President/Chair Mr P. Brown, and a hardworking team including a treasurer, secretary, match manager, and safeguarding officer.
Bowls is a fantastic social and competitive game. Using weighted bowls that curve as they roll, players aim to get closest to the jack – a small white or yellow ball. Different playing techniques and strategies, like the draw and controlled weight, keep the game exciting.
We’re proud of our heritage and warm atmosphere, and we offer excellent facilities for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're an old hand at bowls or a newbie, come and experience the fun with us! Contact Nigel for more info or check our location map to find us. See you on the green! 🌳
