Richmond Hill Squash Club, located in Richmond Hill, offers a dynamic and inclusive environment for squash enthusiasts of all levels. Our club prides itself on providing a welcoming atmosphere for players to improve their skills, meet new people, and participate in a variety of squash programs.
Every Monday evening, the club hosts a session open to all levels of play, where participants can brush up on their skills, receive tips from our Head Professional Rob Brooks, and enjoy a fun evening of squash. Organized by Elka Marcus, these sessions are a great way to improve your game and connect with fellow players.
For those just starting out in the sport, the club offers novice level singles round-robin sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Led by John Stoneburgh and his team, these sessions include basic drills and friendly games to help beginners feel comfortable on the court while learning the ropes of squash.
For more experienced players, the club offers intermediate and advanced level singles round-robin sessions on the same days. Participants can expect specific drills, games, and opportunities to take their game to the next level under the guidance of the experienced coaching staff.
Doubles round-robin sessions are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for players interested in exploring the world of doubles squash. Led by long-term member and squash professional Danny Paolucci, these sessions offer a great opportunity for players to experience the unique dynamics of playing in pairs.
The club also hosts a singles and doubles house league on Mondays, allowing members to compete on pre-set teams against their peers throughout the year. With sessions running four times per year, participants have the flexibility to choose the sessions that align with their schedule.
Additionally, the club hosts annual events such as the Year-end Squash Club Championships in April, May, and June, featuring both singles and doubles categories. The club's annual Doug Allen Memorial Open in February is a Squash Ontario sanctioned community tournament that honours the late club founder Doug Allen.
Whether you are a beginner looking to pick up a racquet for the first time or an experienced player seeking competitive opportunities, Richmond Hill Squash Club offers a vibrant and engaging squash community for all.
