Richmond Golf Club, located approximately 10 minutes from Hobart City and 5 minutes from Hobart Airport, is a private 9-hole country course that offers stunning views overlooking the Barilla Bay waterway. The club is situated just 3 km outside the township of Cambridge on the road to Richmond Village. Richmond Golf Club welcomes both visitors and new members.
Richmond Golf Club is a member of the Southern Country Golf Association (SCGA) and the Tasmanian Golf Council. The club also has reciprocal rights with Tasman Golf Club (Tas), Freycinet Golf Club (Tas), Bridport Golf Club (Tas), and Beacon Hill Golf Club in Victoria. The club is supported by the Tasmanian Government.
When playing social or practise rounds, players are requested to use the YELLOW tee markers. It is also important to replace and sand divots on tee beds, fairways, and areas of general play to ensure the course remains in great condition after winter. Repairing plug marks on the soft greens is also greatly appreciated.
For members of Richmond Golf Club, the club has moved to a new competition management system called OneGolf via MiClub. All competition bookings can now be completed through the touch screen kiosk at the golf club or online. In case of any issues with logging on, members can contact the club for assistance.
The golf course at Richmond Golf Club is a par 66 (Slope rating 106), with a total distance of 4,775 metres. It features 10 challenging holes suitable for players of all abilities. The course has a separate 9th and 18th hole and offers alternate tees on some holes. The current course record is 60.
Membership at Richmond Golf Club is available for full membership (male and female), junior membership, and social membership.
