The riding school offers one-off, casual, weekly, fortnightly, or 4-weekly lessons, as well as Pony Pat, Play & Lead-ride introductory experiences ranging from 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The session type and duration will depend on the age and experience level of the rider. To make a booking, interested players can call 0418 602 672 between 11am and 7.30pm seven days a week. At Richmond Valley Riding School, the focus is on providing practical hands-on and theory-based lessons that enable dedicated students to become skilled and proficient in horse care, riding, and training. The riding school offers their own in-house early learning programs in horse care studies and riding skills. With just 10 trained and experienced school horses/ponies on their 30-acre property, Richmond Valley Riding School ensures regular care for them and ensures the welfare and safety of their riders. Each horse has their own grooming kit, child, or adult size saddle with toe stoppers to prevent feet from getting caught in the stirrups, saddle blanket, bridle, neck strap for added security, halter and rope, variety of horse rugs, and their own purpose-built yard or stable. The horses live out in varying fields when not in use, allowing them to interact with each other as a natural herd.
The horses at Richmond Valley Riding School come in various sizes, breeds, and temperaments to cater to riders of different ages and experience levels. The riding school does not use off the track (OTT) thoroughbred or standardbred racehorses to teach children or beginners how to ride. Whether one is interested in dressage, showing, basic jumping technique, groundwork, games, horse management, coach training, float self-loading, or more, they can learn it at Richmond Valley Riding School. The riding school understands that each rider has individual needs and goals within equestrian disciplines, and their aim is to provide individual care and consideration to help riders reach their full potential. They offer flexible options with developed lesson plans and services in private and shared situations, ensuring a fun, educational, and safe environment. It is crucial to note that horse riding is a high-risk sport with inherent risks.
